I am a huge fan of blue cheese… HUGE FAN!! I’m a huge fan of runny dressings and dipping sauces… HUGE!! I’m also a firm believer that beef and blue cheese were destined to be together just as much as peanut butter and jelly. That’s my position and I have no plans on wavering.
My father-in-law cooked up some amazing steaks this weekend and I whipped up this easy blue cheese dressing/dipping sauce to go with them. It was a hit!! You know it’s a hit when people stop eating their salads and steaks because the dressing is gone…
You will probably already have most of the ingredients on hand so there’s not a good excuse not to make this…
This would be great with wings… or chicken strips… or over a burger… or a chicken sandwich… or salad… or as a veggie dip… just make it would ya!!!
Blue Cheese Dressing/Dipping Sauce
1 cup blue cheese, crumbled
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayo
1/2 buttermilk or just regular milk will do as well
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 tsp lemon juice, about 1/4 of a lemon
Salt & Pepper
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Adjust salt and pepper to taste. Use immediately or cover and refrigerate until needed.
